Symphonie Nr. 1 c-moll
Album by Anton Bruckner & hr‐Sinfonieorchester & Eliahu Inbal
Symphonie Nr. 1 c-moll is the first numbered symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, composed in 1866. The work features expansive late-Romantic orchestral writing characterised by broad thematic development, dramatic dynamic contrasts and prominent brass and organ-like textures, and it occupies an early but formative position in Bruckner's symphonic output that foreshadows the structural and harmonic approaches of his later symphonies.
