Aus der Neuen Welt
Album by Antonín Dvořák & Berliner Philharmoniker & Ferenc Fricsay
Aus der Neuen Welt (From the New World) is the ninth symphony by Czech composer Antonín Dvořák, completed in 1893. The work blends Romantic orchestral writing with melodies and rhythms influenced by American musical idioms — including pentatonic themes and syncopation — reflecting Dvořák's time in the United States and his effort to synthesise his Bohemian roots with new influences in the late Romantic symphonic tradition.
