Bruckner 4
Album by Anton Bruckner & Münchner Philharmoniker & Sergiu Celibidache
Symphony No. 4 in E-flat major is a symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, composed in 1874 with revisions completed in the 1880s. It exemplifies late-Romantic orchestral writing with broad, expansive structures, prominent brass chorales, rich string textures and contrasting episodes of lyricism and drama, and it marks a key step in Bruckner's symphonic development toward his later large-scale, architectonic works.
