Bruckner 9
Album by Anton Bruckner & Riccardo Muti & Chicago Symphony Orchestra
Symphony No. 9 is the ninth symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, written in 1896. A late-Romantic orchestral work, it employs expansive, cathedral-like structures, dense brass and string textures and a prolonged harmonic language that represents the culmination of Bruckner's symphonic development while remaining unfinished at his death.
