Page One

Album by Joe Henderson

Page One is the debut studio album by American saxophonist Joe Henderson, released in 1963. Musically it is rooted in hard bop and early post-bop, with the tenor saxophone leading tight ensemble cohesion, modal harmonies and an energetic rhythmic drive, and it documents Henderson's emergence as a composer and soloist in the early 1960s jazz scene.
