Symphony no. 3 "Eroica"
Album by Ludwig van Beethoven & Günter Wand & NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester
Symphony No. 3 in E-flat major, Op. 55, "Eroica" is a symphony by Ludwig van Beethoven, composed in 1803–1804 and first performed in 1805. Musically it bridges Classical and early Romantic styles with expanded forms, bold harmonic excursions, greater orchestral forces and extended development sections, and it marks a turning point in Beethoven's middle period that reshaped the scale and expressive range of the symphony in music history.
