Symphonies no. 3, op. 10 · no. 6, op. 60
Album by Antonín Dvořák & Slovenská filharmónia & Stephen Gunzenhauser
Symphonies No. 3, Op. 10 and No. 6, Op. 60 are orchestral works by Czech composer Antonín Dvořák, composed in 1873 and 1880 respectively. Both symphonies employ Romantic-era orchestral colours and Czech folk-influenced melodic and rhythmic elements, with the Third representing an early expansion of Dvořák's orchestral language and the Sixth showing a more mature synthesis that contributed to his standing in European musical life.
