Nocturnes

Nocturnes is a collection of solo piano pieces by Polish composer Frédéric Chopin, composed and published in several groups between 1827 and 1846. They exemplify Romantic-era piano miniatures, characterised by lyrical, ornamented melodies, intimate nocturnal atmospheres and nuanced rubato, and they mark a significant phase in Chopin's development of his distinctive piano idiom.
