Ancient Airs and Dances: Suites nos. 1-3 is a collection of orchestral suites by Italian composer Ottorino Respighi, composed between 1917 and 1931. The works are orchestral arrangements of Renaissance and early music lute pieces, characterised by rich, colouristic orchestration, modal melodies and antique sonorities that reflect Respighi's interest in early music and occupy a distinctive place in his output between his early and later orchestral works.
