Alfonso und Estrella is an opera in three acts by Austrian composer Franz Schubert, completed in 1822. The work is one of Schubert's few full-length operatic undertakings, marrying his song-like melodic writing with orchestral textures and dramatic scenes and occupying a peripheral but instructive place in his development as a composer of large-scale vocal music.
