Solomon is an oratorio by George Frideric Handel, first performed in 1749. It is written in the Baroque oratorio style, with choral passages, orchestral sinfonias and solo arias that set biblical material, and it was composed when Handel had turned his attention to large-scale English oratorios late in his career.
