Symphony no. 3 in D minor
Album by Anton Bruckner & Wiener Philharmoniker & Karl Böhm
Symphony No. 3 in D minor is the third symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, completed in 1873. The work is a late-Romantic symphony characterised by broad, organ-like textures, expansive movements, dense chromatic harmony and prominent brass writing, and it represents an early mature example of Bruckner's large-scale symphonic technique within the development of 19th-century orchestral music.
