The Last Trane

The Last Trane is a compilation album by American jazz saxophonist John Coltrane, released in 1966. It contains performances from his late 1950s period as he moved from sideman roles to establish his own voice within hard bop and early modal jazz, and it has robust tenor saxophone lines, blues-based forms and extended improvisation that trace his stylistic development.
