Symphony #1 (1868 version)
Album by Anton Bruckner & Bruckner Orchester Linz & Markus Poschner
Symphony No. 1 (1868 version) is a symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, completed in 1868. The work showcases early Brucknerian traits such as expansive movements, dense brass writing and broad harmonic progressions rooted in the late-Romantic Austro-German tradition, and represents his first mature symphonic statement that foreshadows the formal ambition and orchestral textures he expanded in later symphonies.
