Blood on the Fields is an album by American jazz trumpeter Wynton Marsalis, released in 1997. The music is a large-scale jazz composition that mixes extended ensemble writing, choral passages and blues-inflected improvisation, and it arrived at a point in Marsalis's career when he moved toward larger compositional forms beyond small group formats.
