Belshazzar, HWV 61, is an oratorio by George Frideric Handel, first performed in 1745. The work blends Handel's Italianate solo writing with English choral and orchestral forces, exemplifying the dramatic and theatrical approach of his mid-1740s oratorios and occupying a place in the later phase of his oratorio output.
