Symphony No. 9 (with the Documentation of the Finale Fragment) is the ninth symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, composed between 1893 and 1896 and left unfinished at his death in 1896. A late-Romantic orchestral work characterised by expansive harmonic language, dense contrapuntal textures and prominent brass chorales, it serves as Bruckner's final symphonic statement and is notable for its unfinished finale preserved in sketches and documentary fragments that have informed subsequent performances and completions.
