Mean Greens

Album by Eddie Harris

Mean Greens is a studio album by American jazz saxophonist Eddie Harris, released in 1966. Musically it has elements of hard bop and soul-jazz built on blues-rooted material with groove-led rhythms and prominent organ and brass, and it comes after a period in Harris's career when he began using amplified sounds that steered him toward funk-influenced jazz in later releases.
