Interzone is a John Zorn studio album on Tzadik inspired by William S. Burroughs and Brion Gysin, drawing on their cut-up aesthetics and North African Beat milieu to blend avant-garde jazz, rock and electroacoustic improvisation. It is performed by an expanded ensemble with saxophone, guitars, keyboards, electronics, bass and percussion.
