Oklahoma! is the original Broadway cast album composed by Richard Rodgers, released in 1943. It is rooted in mid-20th-century American musical theatre, features orchestral arrangements and ensemble singing with a mix of pastoral and march-like motifs, and was an early major work for Rodgers that contributed to the use of songs integrated into the dramatic action of stage musicals.
