Symphony No. 5 is a symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, composed in 1875–1876. The four-movement late-Romantic work is characterised by dense orchestration, intricate counterpoint and expansive harmonic architecture, and occupies a central place in Bruckner's symphonic output as a concentrated demonstration of his mature structural and contrapuntal techniques.
