The Planets, Op. 32 is an orchestral suite by the English composer Gustav Holst, written between 1914 and 1916 and first performed in 1918. The music comprises seven movements that employ vivid orchestral colour, bold rhythmic motifs and modal harmonies, and it represents a major work in Holst's output and in the development of British orchestral music in the early 20th century.
