Symphony No. 6 in A major is the sixth symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, composed in 1879. The work features rich orchestration, prominent brass chorales, intricate counterpoint and adventurous harmonic progressions, and occupies a position between his earlier symphonies and the more expansive, monumental structures of his later output, reflecting his late-Romantic idiom and experiments with symphonic form.
