Album by Henry Purcell & Jill Feldman & Nigel North & Sarah Cunningham

Ayres and Songs from Orpheus Britannicus is a collection of songs by English composer Henry Purcell, first published in 1698. The pieces combine expressive vocal lines, Baroque ornamentation and consort-influenced accompaniment, blending courtly and theatrical styles and marking a key consolidation of Purcell's contribution to the English song repertoire in the early Baroque period.
