Romeo and Juliet is a ballet score by Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev, composed in 1935–36. The score blends late-Romantic lyricism with modernist harmonies and strong rhythmic drive, using recurring motifs and vivid orchestration to depict the drama, and it stands as a major theatrical work in Prokofiev's output that has also been adapted into concert suites and numerous ballet productions.
