Symphony 2 in C minor, op. 29
Album by Alexander Nikolayevich Scriabin & Mark Gorenstein & Государственный академический симфонический оркестр России
Symphony No. 2 in C minor, Op. 29 is the second symphony by Russian composer Alexander Scriabin, completed in 1902. The four-movement work sits at the crossroads of late-Romantic orchestral tradition and Scriabin's developing harmonic language, featuring expansive orchestration, chromaticism and shifting tonal centres that point towards his later mystical experiments while remaining rooted in symphonic structure.
