The Mystery (Rosary) Sonatas are a set of violin sonatas by Heinrich Ignaz Franz von Biber, composed around 1676. Written in the Baroque idiom for violin and continuo, the cycle uses varied scordatura tunings and extended violin techniques to illustrate the devotional Mysteries and occupies a distinctive place in the development of the solo violin repertoire in the late 17th century.
