The Late String Quartets Op. 135 & Op. 132 is a set of two late string quartets by Ludwig van Beethoven, composed in the mid-1820s (1825 and 1826). These late-period quartets use dense counterpoint, bold harmonic shifts and extended forms with introspective slow movements, and they come from the final years of Beethoven's career where he expanded the expressive and structural possibilities of the string quartet.
