Má vlast is a cycle of six symphonic poems by Czech composer Bedřich Smetana, completed in 1879. With programme orchestral writing that employs folk-inspired melodies, vivid tone‑painting and rich orchestral colours, the cycle evokes Bohemian landscapes and legends and represents Smetana's mature contribution to the development of Czech national music following his late‑career deafness.
