Canon and Gigue in D major is a Baroque chamber composition by Johann Pachelbel, composed around 1680. Scored for three violins and basso continuo, it uses a repeating ostinato bass beneath imitative, contrapuntal lines and exemplifies the canon form within Pachelbel's output and the Baroque chamber repertoire.
