Psalmen Davids is a collection of sacred vocal works by German composer Heinrich Schütz, published in 1619. The music blends early Baroque Venetian polychoral and concertato techniques with German Protestant psalm settings, using contrapuntal choruses and soloistic textures to introduce Italianate expressive devices into Schütz's formative output and the wider practice of seventeenth-century German sacred music.
