Symphony No. 6 is the sixth symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, completed in 1879. It is a large-scale Romantic symphony in A major characterised by dense orchestration, contrapuntal development and expansive harmonic progressions, and it occupies a transitional place in Bruckner's middle-period output between his earlier works and the more monumental later symphonies.
