Symphony No. 5 in B-flat major, Op. 100 is the fifth symphony by Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev, completed in 1944. The four-movement work features broad, Romantic-inflected orchestration combined with 20th-century harmonic language and rhythmic drive, and was written during the later stages of the Second World War, occupying a central place in Prokofiev's symphonic output.
