Bolero

Boléro is a one-movement orchestral piece by French composer Maurice Ravel, composed in 1928. The work is characterised by a persistent rhythmic ostinato and a gradual orchestral crescendo that systematically shifts instrumentation to explore timbre and colour, and it occupies a distinctive place in Ravel's late output and in early 20th-century orchestral experimentation.
