Má Vlast
Album by Bedřich Smetana & London Symphony Orchestra & Sir Colin Davis
Má vlast is a cycle of six symphonic poems by Czech composer Bedřich Smetana, composed between 1874 and 1879. The work exemplifies Czech national Romanticism through expansive orchestral writing that evokes Bohemian landscapes and historical themes, and it represents a culminating part of Smetana's mature output composed during his later, mostly deaf years.
