Makrokosmos I & II
Album by George Crumb & Toros Can
Makrokosmos I & II are two volumes of solo piano compositions by American composer George Crumb, composed in 1972 and 1973. The works employ amplified piano and extended techniques, including inside-the-piano preparations, unconventional notation and theatrical gestures, producing a wide range of timbres and textures and marking a distinct phase in Crumb's mid-career exploration of timbre and performance practice.

First released: December 2003
