Die Vier Jahreszeiten

Album by Antonio Vivaldi & Christopher Warren‐Green & Philharmonia Orchestra & Thomas Wilbrandt

Die Vier Jahreszeiten is a set of four violin concertos by Antonio Vivaldi, first published in 1725 as part of his Op. 8 collection. They exemplify Baroque concerto form through vivid programme writing and virtuosic violin parts, using ritornello structures, contrasting textures and evocative instrumental colours, and are significant within Vivaldi's output and the early development of programme music.
