Southern Harmony

Album by William Duckworth & Gregg Smith Singers & Gregg Smith

Southern Harmony is an album by American composer William Duckworth, released in 1980. It adapts early American hymn tunes into a postminimalist setting that uses repeated patterns, combines vocal and instrumental textures and studio layering, and it follows his earlier experimental piano work as he moved toward ensemble and electroacoustic forms.
