Flute Quartets nos. 1-4
Album by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart & Carol Wincenc & Emerson String Quartet
Flute Quartets Nos. 1–4 are a set of chamber works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, composed in 1777–78. Scored for flute with violin, viola and cello, they employ graceful melodies, clear textures and conversational interplay characteristic of the Classical style, and represent a stage in Mozart's development of chamber music during his late teenage years.
