Stabat Mater is a choral composition by Estonian composer Arvo Pärt, composed in 1985. It employs Pärt's tintinnabuli technique, featuring sparse, meditative textures, chant-like vocal lines and tightly interlocked tonal harmonies, and represents a consolidation of his turn to sacred, minimalist-influenced writing in the mid-1980s.
