Cantatas BWV 49-52 is a set of four church cantatas by Johann Sebastian Bach, composed c. 1726. They are Baroque sacred vocal works combining choral and solo writing with obbligato instrumental parts, contrapuntal choral movements and sectional arias employing ritornello and da capo principles, created for liturgical performance during Bach's Leipzig period and representative of his mature cantata output.
