Brandenburg Concertos Nos. 4, 5 and 6 are three of the six concertos in the Brandenburg Concertos by German composer Johann Sebastian Bach, composed and presented in 1721. They exemplify Baroque concerto grosso writing, showcasing contrasting solo instruments against an ensemble with intricate counterpoint, virtuosic passages and varied instrumentation that illustrate Bach's exploration of timbre and form as part of his mature instrumental output.
