Ballades
Album by Fryderyk Chopin & Jerome Rose
Ballades are a set of four solo piano compositions by Polish composer Frédéric Chopin, composed between 1831 and 1842. These Romantic-era works are characterised by expansive, narrative structures, dramatic contrasts and virtuosic pianism, and they occupy a prominent place in Chopin's mature output where he explores extended forms and an increased expressive range for the solo piano.
