Symphony no. 7 in E Minor
Album by Gustav Mahler & NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester & Alan Gilbert
Symphony No. 7 in E minor is the seventh symphony by Austrian composer Gustav Mahler, composed in 1904–1905 and completed in 1905. The work combines late-Romantic orchestration with unconventional tonal and timbral effects, alternating nocturnal, brooding passages with scherzo-like and march-like episodes, and stands as a transitional, exploratory piece in Mahler's symphonic output that helped expand early 20th-century orchestral language.
