String Quartet in E minor and Piano Quintet in A minor are chamber works by English composer Edward Elgar, composed in 1918. Both pieces represent his late-career turn to intimate ensemble writing, applying his late-Romantic harmonic language and lyrical, often autumnal melodic writing to smaller forces and reflecting the more introspective character of his output around the end of the First World War.
