On the Rise is the fourth studio album by American R&B band The S.O.S. Band, released in 1983. The album moves the group's sound toward synth-driven contemporary R&B and funk, emphasising polished electronic arrangements, prominent synthesiser and drum-machine textures, and a more dance-oriented production that marked their mid-1980s direction.
