The Topography of the Lungs is an album by English saxophonist Evan Parker, released in 1970. It presents intense free-improvisation and avant-garde jazz characterised by extended saxophone techniques, dense collective interplay and stark timbral exploration, and it is an early document in Parker's evolving approach and in the development of the European free-improv movement.
