Symphonies, KV 543 “No. 39”, KV 551 “Jupiter”
Album by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart & Nederlands Kamerorkest & Gordan Nikolić
Two late orchestral symphonies by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart were composed in 1788. They feature classical-period orchestration with prominent winds, balanced sonata forms, contrapuntal passages and expansive finales that combine material in dense counterpoint, and they come from the final phase of Mozart's symphonic output.
