Symphonie No. 3 "Eroica"

Symphony No. 3 in E-flat major, Op. 55, commonly known as the Eroica, is the third symphony by Ludwig van Beethoven, completed in 1804. The work expanded the scale, harmonic complexity and emotional range of symphonic writing through longer movements, dramatic contrasts and intensive thematic development, marking Beethoven's move into his middle 'heroic' period and exerting substantial influence on nineteenth-century orchestral music.
