The Ghosts of Versailles is an opera by American composer John Corigliano, premiered in 1991. Musically the work blends late 20th-century classical techniques with lyrical vocal writing and varied orchestral colour, uses both tonal and atonal language, and sits among his larger-scale theatrical works following earlier concert pieces.
